When I stepped foot into New Church almost 3 years ago, I looked ok on the outside, but on the inside I was broken and confused. I had given up on church because every time I attended, I always got those funny looks for being that girl that had a child out of wedlock. It sounds cliché, but New Church changed my life. What I didn't know at that time was that you don't have to always get life right for God to love you, and when you experience His grace, it will give you the desire to receive His love and to live your life for Him. I'm forever grateful to New Church for helping me find new life in Jesus.

I instantly felt welcomed, and my daughter said she loved it and couldn’t wait to go back! New Church made us feel like family, and it didn’t take long for my husband, Jocolby, and I to realize we found our church home. I’m proud to say I love New Church, and no matter where you are in your journey of faith, you will benefit from your experience here.

The Harrell Family

There's no way I can adequately describe what New Church has done for me, but simply put, it changed/saved my life! Over the past few years of attending New Church, I have given my life to Christ, publicly declared my faith through baptism, begun serving in the church, started attending a small group Bible study, and grown in my faith and understanding of the Bible. Before New Church, I wasn't involved in church, and knew very little about faith or religion. I had no intention of going to church because I wasn't comfortable with the idea of it. Within minutes of attending the first service, I could tell this church was the place for me! The staff and volunteers were so friendly and the overall atmosphere was extremely welcoming. I would encourage anyone who was in the same position I was a few years ago to give New Church a try. It may change your life as it did mine!

We relocated to Winston-Salem midway through 2013.  Being new to the area and finding a church to call home was of utmost importance to us.  We quickly connected with the people at New Church, and it wasn’t long before we considered it our home.  When our daughter, Shelbi, who is in college, came to Winston-Salem for the first time, she also found New Church to be a very special place.  She’s been able to get involved by mentoring middle school and high school girls in New Church Youth.  Because of the special friends we’ve met, and the sense of community we’ve found through our small group at New Church, we can truly say we are now home.
